I think the quote says it all. This is something I learned the hard way. I was a people pleaser and wanted to do everything to fit in. I never realized I was supposed to be myself and enjoy. I was too busy living in some kind of fantasy world that I didn’t realize the world passing by. I realized that I can’t please everyone.
The reality of all the stupidity done in high school are lessons that hit my life hard. I have made a lot of mistakes and suffered the consequences as well, but it helped me become strong and fight through issues. I have reached a place where I really don’t care what others say or think about me. I am not living to make others happy, but for my own happiness. I guess in the inside I was always like that growing up, but peer pressure was a real thing. At least I never underwent bullying as that concept was pretty foreign where I grew up and I am really thankful for that.
High School – A place where you make a lot of mistakes, and learn from it.
