Love, Creativity and Dedication. That’s what goes into handmade.

For a long time I have been thinking of adding tabs to my Bible which indicate the beginning of each book in it. I went online and there were numerous options but nothing came cheap, because every time I liked one, it turned out to be expensive. I guess, I have expensive taste – just kidding!

I decided to create my very own Bible Tabs. The only item I purchased for it was the ‘We R Memory Keepers Tab Punch’, because I knew I would get a lot of use out of it for other projects as well. There was a sale on amazon.ae so I grabbed it when I could. I had had my eyes on it for a long time. All the remaining items that I used, I have had it with me for a few years now. I am kind of a craft hoarder, if you wish to call me that. Crafting and journaling are my way of releasing stress and it calms me down.

First I made a list of all the books in the bible and edited that in an app called Canva (font style, size, etc.), I wanted it on both sides of the tab and printed it onto an adhesive printing paper. I had golden color A4 sized papers with me so I punched them in a way that I could get the max out of one sheet. I needed 66 Tabs, that’s quiet a bit. Once that was complete, I cut the names into smaller bits and pasted them on both sides of each tab. Then I used transparent double sided tape to stick them into my Bible.

I broke the project into 2 days, as doing it in one go was pretty tedious and I like to take time and do things perfectly. The end result was so satisfying and beautiful. It makes finding a particular book in the Bible much easier than it was before. I have one more bible which I plan on following the same process with, or a faster one, I haven’t decided on that, yet.
