The only thing that I like better than talking about food is eating. – John Walters
My husband has been wanting to take me to this restaurant for a while now. He had been here with his bestie and he really loved the food. He knew I would appreciate it just as much, so finally we got an opportunity to have lunch there together.
I am a fan of Fatayer and Manaesh and everything that falls in the same category. We have tried similar food from different places, but, nothing felt as good as this.
On 16.08.2022: We visited Mama’esh, located in Al Warqa for lunch. Its a very simple yet aesthetically pleasing little restaurant, we took a corner seat. The server brought us the QR code to scan for the menu. We browsed through it and decided to order the following:
- Iced Hibiscus Tea
- Pomegranate Crispy Minced Meat Manaesh
- Oven Baked Chicken Shawarma Fatayer
- Turkey & Cheese Fatayer
The Hibiscus tea was very refreshing. The Manaesh and Fatayers were freshy baked after we ordered them. The flavor was another deal all together. It was what caught me off-guard. It was so fresh and flavorful, even the yogurt they served with the Pomegranate Crispy Minced Meat Manaesh tasted so creamy and yummy, writing about it now is making my mouth water. There were the best Manaesh & Fatayer that I have tasted by far. Their rates are pretty nominal. We had a hearty lunch and it just cost us AED 80/- for 2 (including VAT).
For all the Palestinian Street Food lovers out there, this is a definite must go spot. I am definitely going back and trying more of their baked goods for sure!
