I really believe that everyone has a talent, ability, or skill that he can mine to support himself and to succeed in life. – Dean Koontz

There is a truth in saying that each one of are blessed with a talent or two. But, most have confidence issues or don’t get a chance to showcase it the way they want to. That was one thing that made this experience a worthwhile one. I know I am a little too late to share this experience. But, its better late than never.

So, there was a small introduction during church in June regarding a youth mission trip to Egypt to help out at a few churches/places that didn’t have the resources. It felt like such a great cause and a good way to teach our teenagers all about the challenges that people face in different parts of the world. So my husband and I signed up for the Go Variety Show by the youth team to raise funds for the cause.

So on 26.06.2022, after church, we headed to the place where the Go Variety Show was being held. It started around 4pm and was an hour long, but the talent that was showcased there was so raw and beautiful. I realized how much we need to appreciate the talents that God has bestowed on us and use it for a good cause. There were skits, singing, dancing and lots & lots of laughter. It was both entertaining and eye-opening. It was so good to see our youth working together to prepare to help for a great cause. There was a hilarious ballet performance by the boys in the youth team and everyone was laughing and enjoying it all the way till the end and that made me realize how much joy we can spread to others, just through a small performance. The impact of every small thing we do has a huge impact on other peoples lives. This was like huge for me.

The Egypt mission trip was a huge success and the youth shared their testimony as soon as they came back and it was really touching.

We are all people who can bring a major change in the way people think and feel. It should be our mission to make the world a better place for others. Just a small smile can light up another persons life. That’s how much power we have. It seems like a small thing, but small things are what matter the most.
